New Pub and Ale House to Open in Cape Town

Cape Town’s venue big-wigs join forces for new hotspot.

Cape Town’s CBD nightlife is set to get another boost thanks to a trendy new pub and ale house opening in October.

Villains Ale House will be the new spot to meet your mates at for a pint or two after a long day of work, but this is not any old water-hole, as there’s some notable names behind this new venue.

Reg Macdonald of The Village Idiot and Aces ’n Spades Bar, Gavin Hagger of Jerry’s Burger Bar and Jason Lilley of Bardough and Jason Bakery make up the team behind Villains Ale House, which brings a lot of experience to the table.

With so many different styles and owners on board, there’ll definitely be a great variety of beverages and food on offer, but details are slim at this time. Villains is yet to announce exactly what will be on offer. But spoiler alert: there will be beer.

The ale house will be at 38 Hout Street (the former location of O’Driscoll’s) and is expected to be open for business in late October.
