Enjoy Sundowners with a View on the 51st floor of Joburg’s Iconic Ponte Tower!

Africa’s tallest residential building has a stylish new food and drinks bar.

Looking for a spot in Joburg to enjoy drinks with a view? Africa’s tallest residential building is offering just that, and more, with new food and drinks bar, 5101. Housed on the 51st floor of the iconic Ponte Tower, the new space offers an unrivalled view of Johannesburg and caters for events, brunches, and, of course, sundowners. Here’s everything you need to know about 5101 at Ponte Tower.

The creation of Mike Luptak, owner of tour company Dlala Nje, and Ponte Tower resident, 5101 forms part of Dlala Nje’s mission to bring more locals and tourists into the Johannesburg CBD and change the negative perceptions of town and Ponte. The fascinating new eatery launched in December 2017 and offers a shabby chic spot to enjoy a bite and a sip while taking in the incredible view.

Local eatery La Camerounaise is currently handling the catering and visitors can expect to tuck into adventurous brunch delights like Cameroonian beignets and flamed smoked carapau. As for sundowners, bookings open from 18:00. Of course, for the full experience, we recommend booking a tour with Dlala Nje and finishing off the day with a few drinks at 5101.

Booking is essential for a table at 5101 and there is secure parking available in the building. To make a booking email 5101@dlalanje.org.
