HB Studios and Big Ben Interactive have announced that Rugby 15 will be released on 23 January 2015, meaning the game is delayed from its original November 2014 release period.
There are no details given for the delay.
The game will still be released in November in South Africa, according to local Big Ben Interactive distributor, Apex Interactive.
Along with the announcement of the new release date, the box art for the UK version of the game was released.
MenStuff was able to get some hands-on time with the upcoming rugby game at the rAge gaming expo in October, and we recently got the chance to chat about our opinions of the game with popular rugby gaming Youtuber, TheScottishCannon.
In the interview, we discussed the gameplay innovations of the new title, as well as some of the interesting nuances noticed.
A notable feature was that the real-life player likenesses and names did feature in the game, although the international kits seen were not licensed. It must be noted that the version played was not the final retail version of the game.
