It’s that time of the month again when we find out what exactly will be occupying our time on the Playstation Plus side of things.
Last month’s big game, InFamous: Second Son, raised the bar on what we should be expecting, and this month, Playstation has delivered once again.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain headlines October’s games. This means that you’ll get Konami and Hideo Kojima’s MGS swansong project for free. We reviewed Metal Gear Solid V back in 2015, calling it “a game-changing triumph and easily one of the best stealth games ever made.” Damn, we were flattering.
Also, with Halloween hitting at the end of the month, Playstation Plus members will be getting the Amnesia series.
Last year, the complete series – Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Amnesia: Justine – got polished up and released on Playstation 4. Each unique adventure places you in the shoes of a different protagonist as they struggle to overcome their own personal (and some not so personal) demons, and (hopefully) escape with their sanity intact.
The line-up wouldn’t be complete without two additional titles apiece for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, and October is no exception. That leaves the full run-down looking like this:
- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4)
- Amnesia: Collection (PS4)
- RIGS: Mechanised Combat League (PS Plus Bonus – PSVR Required)
- That’s You (PS Plus Bonus – PlayLink)
- Monster Jam Battlegrounds (PS3)
- Hustle Kings (PS3)
- Hue (PS Vita & PS4)
- Sky Force Anniversary (PS Vita & PS4)
