Trailers for big upcoming DC films weren’t the only things shown off at DC’s online Fandome event, as two new games from Warner Bros. were also revealed: Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
In a similar vain to the Batman Arkham games, Gotham Knights sees Batman’s understudies taking the reins to stop Mr. Freeze and other villains from wrecking havoc on Gotham after Batman’s death. While the villains and setting are very similar to recent Batman, it was confirmed that this is a separate universe to the Arkham universe introduced in Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight.
Developed by Warner Bros. Montreal, the game stars Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin, and will use stealth and melee combat as per previous Arkham games. The game will feature two-player online co-op, five boroughs of Gotham City for players to explore, the ability to drive around via Batcycle, and an arsenal of combat and gear that will grow as the game progresses.
Set for release in 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. You can check out some more gameplay footage below:
