Call of Duty: WWII Gets an Emotional Story Trailer

“It’s all been leading to this.”

Not only is the Call of Duty franchise leaving behind space battles, jet packs, and futuristic weaponry, but it’s bringing back a far more grounded and gritty campaign and story for gamers to enjoy.

And the latest trailer for the game focuses on exactly that. We get a look at some of the scenarios and dialogue that the campaign will offer, and it’s looking rather spectacular. Nazi interrogations, in-unit arguments, and of course, some big set-pieces and explosions to raise the tension.

The likenesses and voice talents of Josh Duhamel (Transformers) and Jeffrey Pierce (Justified, The Last of Us) will also add some professionalism and drama to the mix. In the single-player campaign itself, players primarily play as two soldiers of the 16th Infantry Regiment: 19-year-old Private First Class Ronald “Red” Daniels (Brett Zimmerman) and his best friend, Jewish American, Private First Class Robert Zussman (Jonathan Tucker). Daniels’ and Zussman’s platoon mates include Technical Sergeant William Pierson (Duhamel), and platoon leader, 1st Lieutenant Joseph Turner (Pierce).

Call of Duty: World War II launches in November for PS4, Xbox One, and PC; and if you’re looking for the best deal on Call of Duty: WWII, you can find the best price here.
