A teaser poster reportedly leaked online this week claims that Call of Duty: World at War 2 will be announced and given a global reveal on 4 May 2015.
The message, which was posted on Twitter by Xbox Community manager Raj Patel, states that the new COD title will be presented by Xbox. There’s no further details than that, however, it’s speculated that the game will return to the historical war scenarios rather than the futuristic settings the series entered with last year’s Advanced Warfare.
Patel since claimed that he posted the images just to “see what others think of it, not as an endorsement or tease”, which sounds like an excuse after getting into some trouble at MS HQ.
Treyarch are the developers in charge of the next game in the COD cycle and were the team behind the original World at War released in 2008.
This week will see the release of Advanced Warfare’s Havoc DLC which also include an Exo Zombies mode. Check out the trailer for that here.
As World at War was the first Call of Duty game to include the extra undead-fighting-content, we wouldn’t be surprised to see more in the next title Treyarch work on too.
