We’re all trying to get back into the swing of things following the long Easter weekend, but as we come down off our sugar-high, there are some game releases this week to take note of. They may not be the biggest of the month, but some worhty shout-outs nonetheless.
Check out what’s in store this week, below:
Tower of Guns
7 April (PS4,PS3); April 10 (Xbox One)
Tower of Guns is a fast-paced first-person shooter that features levels that are randomly put together from a pool of possible elements, making each playthrough completely randomised.
Players must battle gigantic bosses, upgrade their abilities and modify their gear, while each death sends you back to the first floor, but stronger and better equipped.
Gamers can also look forward to Endless Mode, where you face a room after room of progressively more difficult enemies until you die.
I am Bread
9 April (PC)
I Am Bread hit Steam Early Access back in December last year, it has captured the hearts and minds of many with its ridiculous controls and truly inspired gameplay. Now, just a few short months later, Bossa Studios are ready to give I am Bread its full release – adding a final update which will finish the story and clean up all the rough edges.
The game follows the beautiful story of one slice of bread’s epic and emotional journey as it embarks upon a quest to become toasted. As you delve deeper and deeper into the story of ‘I am Bread’, you’ll notice that things aren’t quite what they seem….
7 April (PS4)
The highly-acclaimed role playing game, Bastion, makes its way to PS4 this week.
In Bastion, players are challenged to explore, upgrade weapons, and fight their way to victory while playing as ‘the Kid’ who moves through floating, fantasy-themed environments fighting enemies.
Bastion was first published in July 2011 for Xbox Live Arcade and in August 2011 for Steam.
The Kid carries two weapons, and can be selected from the choices available to the player at arsenal locations spread throughout the levels.
Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones
7 April (PS4)
Released two days earlier on the Xbox One, The originally Wii U exclusive is hitting the PS4 this week.
The puzzle platformer sees you play the role of a clone escaping a sinister and high-tech testing facility. Put together to test both your brain and your reflexes, Stealth Inc 2 boasts 60 levels linked together in a sprawling overworld.
Death is never more than a few moments away, but one of the few advantages of being a clone is that death isn’t all that permanent.
Pokémon Rumble World
8 April (3DS)
A free download from the Nintendo eShop, Pokémon Rumble World features more than 700 critters to try and add to your collection.
You must battle hordes of toys and will include Mega-Evolving Pokémon for the first time in the Rumble series.
Befriend as many Pokémon as you can, push your Adventurer Rank up, and faces stages with stronger Pokémon.
