While the weekend has come to an end, there were some pretty epic tries, goals, jabs and hooks, and we’ve rounded up the biggest and best that will be the talk around the water-cooler this week:

Floyd Mayweather remains undefeated – Floyd Mayweather was able to keep an unblemished record after defeating Manny Picquiao in boxing’s richest-ever fight with a unanimous decision from the judges.

Toulon grab third major title – Star-studded Toulon were able to overcome their French counterparts Clermont in the Champions Cup final with a 24-18 win that marked the first triple-championship win in history for Toulon.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat-trick against Sevilla – the Portuguese star did it once again for Real Madrid, scoring three goals in his side’s 3-2 win over their Spanish rivals.

Kiwis down Kangaroos – New Zealand defeated Australia 26-12 at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Sunday night, winning the Anzac test for the first time in 17 years.

The chelsea game wasn’t necessary the highest scoring game but was probably the best game over the weekend. Chelsea were in full control. Was great to see them win the league at home.

The Mayweather vs Pacman was entertaining but I don’t think it was all that it was hyped up to be. Although, I know nothing about boxing. So I’m sure for boxing fans it must have been pretty awesome.

The lions vs the Bulls was also a great game. Lions fought back after a dismal first half and went ahead but was disappointing to see them lose to the Bulls. On the upside the Bulls need the points to secure a top 2 finish.

I’m torn when it comes to the cheetahs win. Im happy they beat the stormers but we need another South African team in the top 4. The stormers haven’t been playing well enough but it would be good for South African rugby ahead of the World Cup.

As far as Real Madrid goes it’s sadly too little too late. I can’t see Barcelona letting go of the lead with only 3 or so games to go. The La Liga hasn’t been great this year. It’s less of the one horse race it used to be but still no real convincing football. Ronaldo has had a pretty good season but it looks like that league is at a bit of a plateau.

    That’s pretty much my take.
