Some serious skill, a goal-packed fixture, and some Protea fire made for an incredibly entertaining weekend of sport. But with so many great moments, we decided to rank out top 5; so without further ado, here are our picks of the best sporting moments from the past weekend:

Dan Carter’s quick-thinking – Former All Blacks flyhalf Daniel Carter showed his class with a brilliant cross-field kick to Joe Rokocoko to score a great try for Racing Metro.

Amla and De Villiers’ partnership – Hashim Amla (69* off 38 balls, 8×4, 3×6) and AB de Villiers (71 off 29 balls, 6×4, 6×6) put together a spectacular partnership in the second T20 match against England at Wanderers Stadium.

Chelsea’s dominance over Manchester City – Chelsea scured a 5-1 demolition job over Manchester City in their FA Cup meeting on Sunday.

New Zealand’s power in the Women’s Sevens – Kayla McAlister dotted down for New Zealand against Brazil after a massive fend in the lead up to the try.

Smith’s slip catches – Australian captain Steve Smith took two sensational diving slip catches to pile the pressure on New Zealand’s batsman.
