All Blacks v France – the final test

All Blacks v France

The French travel to New Plymout to take on the All Blacks in the final encounter of the test series between the two

The All Blacks and France will go head-to-head for the third time to round off the test series between the two rugby rivals, and with two in the bag for the All Blacks, the World Champions can look to experiment for the final match-up.

The All Blacks have selected a strong side, giving some players who have been on the fringes a starting chance.

After some impressive performances off the bench, explosive utility back Rene Ranger gets his starting in chance in place of Julian Savea.

Piri Weepu starts at scrumhalf, while the mercurial Dan Carter is back in the number 10 jersey after recovering from injury.

Andrew Hore gets the nod to start at hooker, while Victor Vito also gets to start on the side of the scrum.

The French have undergone a huge change after their underwhelming performance last week.

Remi Tales steps into flyhalf, while South Africa-born Antonie Claassen gets the number 8 jersey.

Benjamin Kayser replaces Dimitri Szarzewski at hooker, lock Alexandre Flanquart bumps out Christophe Samson at lock and flanker Damien Chouly comes into the loose trio.

Jean-Marc Doussain will don the number 9 jersey while Marc Andreu and Brice Dulin come into the back three alongside left wing Yoann Huget.

Rugby Informer’s take: the French have come to terms with the loss of the series and are willing to try some new combinations. They could produce some positive moments, but the All Blacks should win this one. All Blacks by 15.
