Ben Stiller brought blue steel back to the runway at Paris Fashion Week when he and Owen Wilson strutted their stuff as Derek Zoolander and Hansel at the Maison Valentino show, officially announcing the sequel to their beloved 2001 comedy, Zoolander.
The hilarious publicity stunt was followed up with a tweet from Paramount Pictures, confirming that the film will see release on 12 February, 2016.
Stiller also spread the news on Instagram, where he posted a photo of himself and Wilson with the caption, “Apparently Derek and Hansel have come to terms on #Zoolander 2.”
Will Ferrell, who played the hilarious fashion mogul protagonist Mugatu in the original film, confirmed that he is involved with Zoolander 2.
The sequel is said to be set 10 years later when Derek and Hansel are literally forgotten. Nobody even knows who they are, so they have to re-invent themselves.
