While the weekend has come to an end, it’s fair to say that it was jam-packed with some epic sporting moments, and we’ve rounded up the best of the best that will be the talking-points around the office water-cooler this week:

Hurricanes score unbelievable try, but were denied – the Chiefs and Highlanders battle was one of the most anticipated of the weekend, and Super Rugby fans were treated to an incredible long-range try by the Hurricanes before being denied by referee Glen Jackson.

Rochina’s incredible long-range goal – Granada put capped off their performance against Real Sociedad just moments to spare though as Ruben Rochina powered the ball towards goal from long range, just squeezing the ball under the crossbar.

 

Gerrard says farewell – Steven Gerrard said goodbye to the fans after playing in his final game for Liverpool Football Club at Anfield after their unfortunate loss to Crystal Palace.

USA historic Cup win in London – The USA won a famous London Sevens title after beating England in the semi-final and Australia in the final at Twickenham on Sunday. Fiji, meanwhile, won the overall HSBC Sevens World Series.

Djokovic dominates in Rome – Novak Djokovic has warmed up for the French Open with a comprehensive victory over Roger Federer to claim his fourth Italian Open title.
